Looking at PASWG from a political lens was a mistake

Posted by UltraPro89 - June 12th, 2023

When I was watching Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt, you know enjoying the show, I started to wonder if I can see the show from a new perspective, you know something interesting, so the most sensible way to view the show is by viewing it through a political lens, yeah, I thought this was a good idea and it turned out to be the worst mistake, no seriously, this is something. By the way when it comes to politics, I generally tend to be left leaning by the way, you know, me being a Democratic Socialist, so some of my left leaning views will be somewhat here but I'll try my best to be politically neutral as possible. (This is going to be something, and by the way, some of the things I describe are either some misunderstandings or stereotypes)

So first off, when I looked at the show through a political lens, it felt strange, so here's the political compass text that can describe the characters and what ideology they represent.

Panty: Panty's slutty, self-centric and sexual behavior can sometimes be the embodiment of Right Libertarians, you know them, anti-authoritarian capitalists who hate socialism and bureaucracy and thinks that capitalism is democratic.

Stocking: I don't know how, but I know something. Both Stocking and Left Libertarians have one thing in common and that is being against societal norms, reject authoritarianism and so on and so fourth, that's it, ok, let's go to the another one.

Scanty & Kneesocks: Scanty & Kneesocks's more authoritative and more rule minded views can be best represented as more of an embodiment of authoritarian unity, you know, undemocratic laws, suppressing freedom of speech, a cult of personality and so on and so fourth, you know, shit authoritarian do and they don't even say a single bad word in the series, so yeah, that's a somewhat perfect description of the Daemon Sister's authoritarianism. (Scanty being Authoritarian Right and Kneesocks being Authoritarian Left)

Garterbelt: Garterbelt can be best seen as a conservative judging by his preachy shit he says to the Anarchy Sisters, however despite being religious, he is well, a pedophile priest, basically he's a pedophile conservative. He can be best represented as someone who aliases is from center-right to center-authoritarian right and despite his preachy shit, he would at least help the Anarchy Sisters.

Brief: Brief's more cowardly personality can best represent centrism. Despite that, he would end up working with the Anarchy Sisters to defeat Scanty & Kneesocks, so yeah, that's it.

Chuck: Uh, that dumb motherfucker is a pet, so he doesn't have fucking political opinion. He's just apolitical.

Ghosts: The ghost's in the series can be best represented as, ya know, tankies, fascists and monarchists, typical authoritarian and totalitarian supporters., like you know, people who support dictators known to oppress freedom of speech, undemocratic ideas and laws and so on and so fourth. (Jesus fucking Christ, I still keeping using the "so on and so fourth"), also, they somewhat represent some of the authoritarian supporters who would directly think that undemocratic authoritarian or sometimes totalitarian states are "democratic", like seriously, who would believe that. And yes, they might also be an army of the Daemon Sisters, representing brutal militaries or military states, so yeah that's it.

So yeah, that's it. What can I say, I would love to go further, but since I was some dumb motherfucker, I guess, that's it and see ya later and have a goodnight.
